The Erdvark Ridger / Reversible Disc with Bed Former is a multi-purpose implement that can build ridges inwards and outwards. The Bed Former can only form a bed to the inward position. This implement is ideal for building ridges at a lower cost than construction equipment. The ridges are ideal for Citrus, Avocados, Nut trees, Fruit trees and any product that needs to be planted in a higher raised bed.
The Implement has littery hundreds of different settings to make that perfect bed. Just pull a pin and use the toolbar to change the settings. See some settings in the Images Gallery. The Main beam is stronger with 4 different settings for the secondary beam. Use the toolbar to do your settings on the gangs as well for more aggressive or less aggressive setting. The Implement is capable of fetching soil at 4.5 m.
The Bed Former also has a lot of settings for ridge height and the side walls of the ridge. It leaves a neat upper part to plant the trees and lay the drip irrigation pipes.
a) The Erdvark three-point Reversible Disc / Ridger is a versatile disc implement for multiple applications in orchards and vineyards.
b) This implement is capable of doing ridging inwards or outwards and with the discs set on the smallest with discs turn outwards you can work an old ridge flat.
c) This Ridger is ideal for building ridges for Citrus, Avocados, Nut trees, various fruit trees and vegetables.
d) When fitted with the Bed Former the implement can build a neat centre ridge with a Height up to 850 mm.
e) The Ridger / Reversible Disc can fetch soil as wide as 4.5 m and 4.64 m on the two models.
f) Start building your ridge by setting the gang subframe on the outside hole and start working a few hectares with that setting.
g) Move to the next setting and move more soil to the centre.
h) Once the ridges have nearly reached the prefered height, set the Bed Former to your prefered height and shape, and finish off the ridges.
i) The Bed Former will leave a neat bed to plant your trees and lay the drip irrigation.
j) The Reversible Disc is the ideal implement to open the old ridge, break compaction and ventilates soil where trees are replaced at the end of their production cycle. Two or three runs in the reverse position will remove enough soil to rebuild the ridge.
k) Compost, lime and other additives can be spread onto the working area.
l) Turn the discs around to start mixing and building the new ridge.
